National Environmental Policy Act Training

Participants examine the requirements and implementation strategies of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The Council on Environmental Quality (Sec. 2 [42 U.S. Code § 4321]), NEPA Regulations, and the rules and requirements of various federal agencies that are responsible for National Environmental Policy Act implementation are examined in detail. Specific applications of NEPA to private and public activities, which constitute major federal actions significantly affecting the quality of the human environment, are discussed.

Seventy percent of the funds generated through this program are used exclusively to support CHEAF’s Thematic Programs and Climate Initiatives.

Clean Water Act Training

Driven primarily by the Clean Water Act (CWA), CHEAF training services focus on providing attendees with the most effective approach to ensuring compliance with the act. Our experts bring years of interdisciplinary experience in navigating the CWA’s varied regulatory requirements.

Seventy percent of the funds generated through this program are used exclusively to support CHEAF’s Thematic Programs and Climate Initiatives.

Endangered Species Act Training

According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), “the purpose of the ESA is to protect and recover imperiled species and the ecosystems upon which they depend. It is administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) and the Commerce Department’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). The primary purpose of this training is to ensure full compliance with Section 7 and Section 10 of the ESA.

Seventy percent of the funds generated through this program are used exclusively to support CHEAF’s Thematic Programs and Climate Initiatives.

Environmental Documentation

CHEAF partners with local, state, and federal governments to complete various environmental clearance documents. Typical environmental documents completed included Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments (NEPA), Environmental Impact Statements, Wetland Delineations, 404 permits, Section 7 & 10 ESA clearance documentation, and much more.

ALL funds generated through this program are used exclusively to support CHEAF’s Thematic Programs and Climate Initiatives.

Project Management Training

This 3-day course highlights instructing attendees on the effectiveness of leading teams and how to be effective members by understanding the controlling processes of a project and plan development. Attendees will be introduced to various project management professional (PMP) skills that assist in time management, overall project management, team management, and decision-making methods.

Seventy percent of the funds generated through this program are used exclusively to support CHEAF’s Thematic Programs and Climate Initiatives.

Economic Planning

CHEAF partners with local governments to complete economic development planning documents. This support is generally offered to communities that have historically experienced systemic barriers to economic growth. If funds are generated through this program, they are recycled exclusively to support CHEAF’s Thematic Programs and Climate Initiatives. Otherwise, this service is offered as a voluntary donation by CHEAF to participating communities.
